The objective of the SALSA2d is to install a 3D online-offline robotic programming platform for digital teaching, commissioning and monitoring. This project provides custom software with flexible and agile automation.
Rivelin Robotics uses robotics technology that is specific to near-net shape manufacturing. We use state-of-the-art sensors and processes to bring dexterity, versatility, and ease of operation to industrial robotic arms. Manufacturers understand the pressing need to incorporate metal additive manufacturing in their production lines but are struggling to overcome the issues of post processing by hand, which leads to; lack of repeatability, lack of traceability, spiralling costs, limited manpower and risks to personnel. The result when removing AM supports & surface finishing is:
Challenge
Impact
- 90% reduction in costs that result from poor quality
- Lower operational costs
- Minimisation of human exposure to toxic metal dust
