The goal of the project is to create an alternative agile manufacturing technology that will increase production and it will be based on a collaborative robotic solution, applying the machine vision, force detector, and custom software into the micro-machining workstation.
Solution is to align sample using inhouse built solutions. Required accuracy was achieved by creating a tool to utilise camera and automated object detection to align sample in submicron accuracy. Femtosecond fabrication is operating at micron level accuracy. The challenge is to achieve required accuracy using automation solution for such processes. This is a proof of concept that even micron accuracy tasks can be automated which allows us to develop products with built in automation.
