LoposAlert collision warning
Main functionalities
The LoposAlert solution consists of two parts: workers are equipped with such a small wearable and forklift trucks and a second tag is attached to the forklift trucks. In case workers are coming dangerously close to the forklift trucks, the human wearable triggers an alarm to notify them. Alarms can be used bot for collision warnings between workers and forklift trucks, as well as for preventing forklifts accidents with other forklifts or machinery. The alarm types and notification distances can be configured to change depending on the operator role and/or speed of the forklift truck. The device installed on the forklift truck can also be configured to automatically slow down the machine. The alarm solution can operate without installing additional infrastructure, avoiding an expensive initial installation cost.
Technical specifications
Techology: • Distances are calculated using accurate Ultrawide band (UWB) technology, which allows to calculate locations or safety distances between persons and/or objects with an accuracy of 15 cm. Hardware components: • Vehicle anchor which is mounted on the vehicle and measures distances to other vehicles or pedestrians • Wearable which is worn by the pedestrians and allows the accurate UWB distance measurements to the vehicle Wearable specifications: • Dimensions: 4.6 x 4.6 x 1.9 cm – 1.8 x 1.8 x 0.75 inches • Weight: 35 grams, 1.25 ounces • Sound power: up to 100 dBA • Ultra-wideband technology (UWB) for accurate measurements up to <15cm (imperial) at a high speed • Battery life: 2 to 5 days | Recharging time: 3 hours | Charging current: 500mA • With CE and FCC certification • Waterproof: IP65
Inputs and outputs
A webplatform is available to analyse the driver statistics, allowing to • analyse the cause of accidents afterwards • identify at-risk drivers and/or dagenrous behavior prior to any accident occuring.
Formats and standards
The webplatform consists of a webinterface prociding graphical analysis tools. In addition the datat is also made available using open standards allowing to extract all data for custom post-processing.
